Techniques learned in class:
We will learn the ingredients and ratios and "feel" of a perfect crust.
We will braise and roast vegetables.
This rustic galette class will teach you the basics of conquering crust. A good crust is seen as one of the most difficult things to achieve in this world.
We will make this savory with vegetables and goat cheese. But you can easily modify the basic recipe to prepare the crust with any type of fruit.
What to expect:
This class will last 2-2.5 hours. Class will be held during the Northside Farmers Market in the North Church kitchen from 5-7pm. Students are expected to bring their own chef's knife. All other items will be provided.
